Judges are selected from across the NHS and wider healthcare sector. Judges contribute valuable time and effort to work through hundreds of entries, reviewing against strict criteria and attributing scores against a transparent system aimed at rewarding and recognising the best of UK Healthcare.
Our judging takes place over three stages. Each stage is designed to provide a fair and transparent process. Have a look at the key dates page for more information. Please note if you are chosen as a finalist by our judges in the first two stages you will need to attend a live presentation to our judging panel at stage 3. The final dates per category will be published soon.
Stage 1: Remote Judging – Once the entry phase closes all the submissions will be sent to our judges for online review over 5 weeks.
Stage 2: Judging Day – All our judges are invited to come together for 1 day where they are asked to review each other’s scores and commentary. This phase aims to provide a check and balance on any anomalies in scoring. Judges are asked to amend scores where necessary and add additional commentary
Stage 3: Live Presentations – Once the shortlist has been announced in August all finalists will be invited to give a presentation to our judging panels. Presentations will involve travel to London but can also be provided over video link if needed.
